Thanks to everyone for making our Aug. 16th Fundraising dinner at Yonder delicous and nutritious! The menu was created nearly entirely from food grown in our local area, with loads of fresh harvested produce donated by Island Farmers Betsey Wittick, Brian MacWhorter, and Karen Selvar. Bainbridge Island Vineyards and Winery and Perennial Vintners donated much of the island-grown wine served at the event. Mora Ice Cream donated their wonderful ice cream, and many volunteer hands helped bring the feast from the farms to the table. Thanks also goes to Town & Country market & Commuter Comforts for their generous donations which helped make this event a great success!

Hats off to caterer Judith Weinstock and her amazing crew for their excellent job on the food and for their gracious service, weaving seamlessly & expertly through an evening of music, storytelling, and lively conversation!

Extra-special thanks to Cynthia Sears and Frank Buxton for the use of “Yonder”, their beautiful place on Port Madison where the event was held. The beautiful home, scenery, and local art collection provided the perfect setting for this local food celebration. Thanks also to Sarah Favre at Yonder for her assistance in coordinating with TWL to make this event happen.

Thanks to all our volunteers, TWL board, event coordinators, the great weather, and most of all our wonderful guests! We are still savoring the sweet memories and looking forward to the bright future of local farming.
