The Bainbridge Island Historical Society and Museum presents Dr. Olaf Ribeiro conducting an Arbor Day Tree Walk of the heritage and champion trees of Winslow. This will not only provide tree identification and facts, but also present an interesting historical aspect of our heritage, giving perspective to the considered value and thought that went into the planting of these trees, some from over 100 years ago. It will also be insightful information in light of the ongoing issue of tree removal for purposes of development.
